Only under continued goading from the Republicans, might Israel be so foolish as to bomb Iran. This would be an October surprise for Barack, forcing him to choose between two unpopular outcomes, being dragged or not dragged into the war.
My interlocutor opines that Israel would last no longer against Iran that it did against Egypt. It was only 24 hours before the Brits and Yanks had to deploy their airpower against Egypt, the last time around. Iran is much better armed, now, than Egypt was then. I understand that we have two carrier groups assigned to the region. Iran could take out both of our carriers, within minutes of hostilities, using its land based missiles, probably of the Silkworm variety.
Perhaps the Republicans will back off.
Meanwhile, Kashmir, the country, remains on a slow path to nuclear-free independence. As does Kashmir, the daughter. I await my password to the Princess Chronicles, to post the December update.
China, for the most part, remains on good behavior, not wishing to jeopardize its continued ascendancy.
Price of oil? Will it remain below the tripwire of $140/bbl? No comment.

How many times can a chicken cross the road, and pretend he didn't see?
The news about Global polarisation and power realignment is todays chip wrapper. The feeling that time’s speeding up, everyone knows. But it will still be a shock to discover one day that we’ve run out of it, and our time’s up, it’s game over, and the fat lady sang a long time ago. As by now, like the forewarned elite of global capitalism's old boys network, she probably packed up her troubles in her old kit bag, grabbed a few doughnuts and on the way to cash her chips in.
That, and watch the birds and banks of our planet go into free fall.
The shift in the balance of powerful forces are evidently affecting the entire planet. The global environment. Birds, fish, animals and insects. They are either giving up the ghost or doing highly strange things. On mass.
And for people, the effect of socio cultural and economic polarisation is becoming increasingly hard to avoid, let alone ignore. People are becoming polarised in behaviour. The times are presenting frequent and unavoidable crisis points where people are having to make decisions, tough ones.
It's happening across the world. From Egypt to England, and Algeria to America. It's polarisation. And In it's extreme form people are in the streets deciding which side of the barricades they should be on. Coming to a street near you soon.
Or not. Either way, unless or until then, all anyone can do is carry on eating the chips. Until they are down. Down to the point where the food supply and distribution infrastructure grinds to a halt.
Then?
Then, all bets are off. When man finds out that he can, most definitely, live by bread alone. When gold and diamonds are worth less than potatoes and corn . And when we find out if the old adage was right. The one about the world being always just three meals away from revolution.
It's not the end of the world. It's time to take the world back.
Back from the men who stole it... The men who stole it, and then had the gall to sell it back, again, and again, and again. Over generations. But always, always for a profit.
So it's not the end of ‘The’ world. It is the end of ‘A world’.
A world that for thousands of years has been treated as a commodity, governed by scientific materialism, and exploited by global capitalism.
And for 99% of the people, who's "loss" has always been "profit" for the 1% who form the ruling elite of that system, it should be the start of a new age of creative power that will come from a share of ownership in global responsibility and global unity.. Forgive?
Sure. But forget?
Well, we'll see about that.
Lest anyone forget there has been thousands of years of inhuman abuse, disregard for life, rape, exploitation, invasion and 'do-what-the-hell-we-want-and-take-what-the-hell-we-want' attitude.
Okay, maybe tough times are ahead for those who have had too much of a vested interest in maintaining the current global economic system of money laundering, stock market rigging, govt subsidised bank bailouts, and other forms of global finance corruption. And for the worst of global capitalism's parasites, the old boys network, it's certainly not going to be easy adjusting to a world where the elite-ism, nepotism and Old Etonian 'who you knew-ism’, is not as important as, ‘Hey buddy, you can get in the que like the rest of us'-ism.
So although it's easy to forgive a capitalist pig, after all, he can cry just as much as the pig he sold to the butcher. But it's not so easy to forget that he consoles his grief tonight dining on truffles and caviar, bought from the profits of bacon.
And in a world governed by materialism there is unavoidable erosion and loss of human compassion and spirit of humanity.. Such have become alien" to much of mankind, and at the expense of truffles, caviar, Nigh key trainers, and must have mobile phone, life is comparatively cheap.. Customers should note, the price paid for a soul can vary.. And refunds do not apply..
God knows how many people have been consumed by consumerism. The religion of Capitalism and Materialism's methamphetamine of the masses.
WWCD? He wouldn't join that religion if they wanted him for a member.

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
And here we all sit, playing tribute to the inner voice and how it speaks to each of individually, in this home away from home consumed with relative seclusion, perfected by the resonance between ourselves.
Carry on Chicken Little and welcome to our newcomers.

Bren,
You and Cy do represent the predominant thinking amongst ufologists and even, perhaps, amongst the '99%'.
I'm not saying that the 1% have even as many scruples as the 99. However, if they are the sheep that has gone astray, then perhaps, they may be receiving more than their share of attention, from on high. And it might not be the sort of attention that the rest of us would crave.
How bad would things have to get before I relinquish the BPWH? That all depends.....
It depends on that other dictum.... All's well that ends well. And it will not be possible to know that until the FLS.
Md02,
Thank you.
All....
For continuing discussion, let's try to use whichever is the latest thread, just to keep a minimum of contiguity, if not continuity. And so, please, feel free to discuss any topic on any thread, particularly if it is the current one, which, right now, is still the 'Grace & Green' thread......

This is the topic to which I am wont to return, after resolving the R&D problem that was being considered on the Reel/Memorex thread, giving the happy travelers their deserved relaxation.
I've forgotten in what state we left the world........
I see that Bren was getting after me about the depravity of the 1%ers. Depravity is a somewhat relative designation. But, presumably, he was pointing to the ghastly remnants of the R&D show as, somehow, being tokens for all that depravity. And, yes, I do somewhat resemble those remarks. I do so, in no small measure, out of a desire to be a peacemaker and bridge builder.
We might suppose that there is a Christian component to this impulse. That may be one reason why Louise was so vehement in her disregard of all things Xian. Some folks are simply not to be deterred from their hatred of the Other, whomever it may be. I'm not sure that I have ever experienced such a feeling. I have harbored grudges against individuals, although I cannot recall what was the last time. Louise was, bless her heart, vehemently antisemitic, or, as she would put it, anti-Ashkenazi. Most of this, I believe, she picked up from her latter partner, Ben. But it was, at least, a folie-a-deux. Me? Well, I have felt the occasional tinge of ethnic disregard, but there are a lot of ethnicities out there, and plenty of disregards to go around. Have I ever felt like I belonged somewhere? Well, I have felt as much belonging with the Wheelers and Vaughans, as with any. Do I wish for a more homogeneous society? I do fear a loss of identity. Would I have wanted to be a complete rainbow person? It would be a challenge. I feel that I have enough of a challenge on my plate, already.
But, no, let us reconsider Louise. Here is what I have suspected......
I suspect that the real target of her antagonism was simply her parents, and that, for daily consumption, she needed a parental surrogate, which she could share with her partner, and voice to her two siblings. Does that make things any better or more excusable? Well, Louise was rather more the outcast than have been her two siblings. I don't know that she ever would have admitted this, but there it was. Women, especially back then, had a tough time with appearances, and, yes, with personalities. There was scant magnanimity to be found, especially in the prep-school set. That resentment could not fail to reflect off the family and onto any convenient, external target. Know thyself. Wow! There can never be anything more painful. What the heck does God do? Does he just bask in his glory, as my evangelical colleague wish to suppose? I seriously doubt it. I mean, get real! Could Jesus begin to claim to be 100% human and never have experienced doubt and (self?) loathing? It says that he did experience such things, right there in the Bible. Get over it.
But, no, they won't get over it. And I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Can anyone help me out?

WWCD? He'd might say, "Cheer up, for Christ's sake. Life's too short for wasting on it on those who dishonor it. "

Bren, Does this explain why the Xians suppose that Jesus was the Teacher's little pet? Or why all the rest of us should spend our days kicking ourselves in the butt, until we get to heaven, and can start feeling self-righteous, until the cows come home? I think maybe it does, but I guess I'll have to listen a few more times. Cheer up...? Am I acting morose? I'm only trying to count my chickens. I try to keep track of the score, so that I can attempt to stay on the track, assuming, even, that there is a track to stay on. But, just off the top, may we safely surmise the the Ronster is not your favorite spook? And whose wagon does he pull? The PtBs? Or is he just an interloping freelancer? Why do you blame poor little Ron? What about the Godster? Is he to be left blameless, in this whole cockup? On your view, it is not clear that there are any good guys left, to complain to. And what is it that you want? Do you want a joyride in a saucer, or do you want to feed the starving Somalis? Is Ron standing in your way? Again, Bren...... WWGD? Give us a plan for saving the world. If there were to be an external intervention, when and how should it optimally have occurred? If God were to smite the CIA and the 1%ers, tomorrow, then what....? Gosh, how quickly I forget...... Yes, I have supposed that Ron may have been instrumental in the takedown of OMF. I would not put that past him, but, in the larger scheme, who lost more in that imbroglio? Was it you, me or the ufological community? ------------ Back to the world......... www.nytimes.com/2012/03/04/world/middleeast/israels-backers-in-aipac-press-obama-to-harden-iran-policy.html?_r=1&hp Will BHO easily stand up to this pressure? Is God looking for a rationale for intervention? Or does he want us to keep muddling along? If the Pres were to call me...... I would tell him to hold firm. I'm not going to be the one to trigger the FLS event. That would be too easy. I would tell God to suck it up, and keep the bombs out of the sky, until we get a better read on the global economy. And keep the goldbugs on a short leash....... blogs.wsj.com/source/2012/03/02/broken-oil-price-shock-absorbers/ Just off the top, I'm guessing that keeping Israel and Iran at each others throats is keeping food prices at a reduced level, but only barely....... www.fao.org/worldfoodsituation/wfs-home/foodpricesindex/en/ If Iran were to suddenly give up it's nukes, or if Israel were to freeze its settlements, the rising price of oil and foodstuffs would quickly put the rate of malnutrition back up above the recent lows of 13%. This is the tightrope that God is being forced to walk, IMHO. Uncertainty depresses the markets. Uncertainty concerning Armageddon is what is keeping foodstuffs minimally affordable for those in poverty. If the markets were to recover, would sufficient new funds be earmarked for famine relief? Or would the increasing pressure on dwindling resources offset any short term gains, and only exacerbate our economic overshoot? (cont.)

He's on a cruise, he can't hear you, so blab away. Besides, nobody reads this obscure hidden hollow forum, except crazy people.

Thanks Gary. Good article. It lead me to Petersen's article posted on your site. www.starpod.org/TAI/1202091.htm"Anticipating 2012
As I mentioned above, we've got a new DVD out on what 2012 looks like to me. I gathered the information from eight or nine credible sources together in a synthetic picture. It was interesting because it became clear that there were multiple indicators that were very specifically forecasting the rapid collapse of significant pieces of the existing system in the coming 12 months-some of the big pieces start coming down in the next 90 days!
For example, one can make a pretty compelling case that there will be an extraordinary cosmic happening in the third quarter -- to say nothing about two other major earth-shaking events that appear to be on the schedule for June and September.
2012 is gearing up to literally become one of the most important years in the history of humanity. "Hmmm, dan, did John board the cruise?
