The individual you have been responding to is a known internet forum spammer who goes by the name Mur or Murnut. These posts of his are here construed as deliberate sock attacks and he has been previously and currently informed that such conduct is not welcome here. After repeated requests to cease that have been posted here by the moderators of this forum his continued posts of this nature have resulted in another banning. I am cleaning his posts from the forum so that civil discourse may resume. My apologies if you found his posts confusing or misleading. Cyrellys Admin. |

Ok, guys, another cleanup completed sorry about not being able to get in here sooner. I was tied up elsewhere offline. I think I know what the problem is with not having the moderator powers in effect. I'm fixing that next. You should shortly be empowered to defend yourselves.

Ok, Moderators, let's try this again. I've made some adjustments to this board and hopefully you have moderator powers now...let me know if you don't. Once I'm certain you can defend yourselves from these attacks I will open the board to allow thread creation so that members may pursue topics of their interest as they did at OMF.
For those of you who had blogs at OMF, I'm next setting up a Blog Section for you so you may continue in that. Please stand-by I should have that done tonight.

ANNOUNCEMENT: As of this evening, I have opened thread creation priviledges to registered members in the OMF Members Board and in the Compass Morainn General Board. This is on a trial basis to see if the community is ready to become more fully established. If anyone has any questions or needs assistance you may p.m. me here tonight.
A Members Blog Board is being created and will be available for your use shortly.

Jeddyhi was a major insider for a time, but much more occurred & developed within OMF after he was let go from the admin team. And much more also occurred after I stepped down from active "admin status" in the summer of 2009. However, unlike Jeddyhi, I kept in cordial contact with the other admins. I wasn't let go, I resigned. Why is that so hard for you to remember. I was told to leave the drones alone as my position of administrator made a conflict of interest. I said to kiss off and resigned my position and continued to rip into the fairytale of the drones.....so basically there was an attempt to censor me. it failed. |

It is very necessary in order to restrain puppy sockets from interferring in the genuine posters in which they can post without fear of deliberate provocation, personal attack and unnecessary interference. You are most welcome everyone. We have never had the need here in the last two/three years to have this level of community shielding. My apologies for the length of time it took to get an adequate level in place. It doesn't mean that we won't continue to experience some problems but it wil mean that all of you are empowered to be able to participate in handling it if necessary so that it is dealt with in a more timely fashion. I'm an not always within quick reach to get to it myself. Many irons in the fire on my end.

Thank you, Cyrellys, for the gentle accommodation of the members displaced by the OMF incident. I blogged there for a couple of years before I was summarily banned by Garuda for "not being penitent" enough as my 3 day suspension was being lifted (I did not agree that my post was in any way a violation of the PB ToS, but agreed to moderate myself more strictly in the future). Bren was kind enough to reinstate my membership after he'd stripped the mods of their ban hammers and apologized for the abuse he perceived I had taken at their hands. For that I am thankful, though it was only a couple of weeks before the end came.
I would appreciate some blog space here, though the new OMF has risen from the ashes of the old. Until Bren is well enough to continue, I don't feel quite safe there yet. Getting banned (never in my life have I been banned by any forum I've frequented in the past 10 years), even though it was not his fault, left some nasty baggage I need to work out before I can feel free to speak my Truth there again.
Anyway, thanks for the port in the storm. I appreciate your generosity of spirit to open up your home to the wounded and displaced. It speaks well of you and that kindness will not be forgotten.
